Signature Chefs Auction pays tribute to the culinary excellence of local chefs and caterers from our community while raising significant revenue to help in the fight to save babies. Local chefs and caterers present their signature dishes in tasting size portions during a cocktail reception where you can also taste wines from across the country!

During the reception, guests enjoy a large silent auction consisting of items such as signed memorabilia, jewelry, gift certificates, art and much, much more! A live auction follows with packages that may include unique dinners, country club golf, Florida vacations, and weekend getaways!

Chefs are participating daily! A few examples are: Burger 419, Rockwell’s, Mancy’s Italian, Zoup!, Canal Junction Farmstead Cheese, Country Grains Bread Co., The Beirut, The Cake Bite Company, Home Slice Pizza, Super Suppers, and many more!

In addition, guests will also enjoy a tasting from two local brewers: Maumee Bay Brewery and Great Black Swamp Brewing! And with a VIP pre-party featuring a private performance from Chris Shutters and exclusive food and spirits, there is truly something for everyone at the 2011 Signature Chefs Auction.

Signature Chefs Auction pays tribute to the culinary distinction of twenty of the finest chefs in Northwest Ohio and the surrounding area. Each chef is asked to provide an item for the guests to sample. Guests have the opportunity to bid on 150 silent auction items and 10 Live Auction items to be auctioned by Pamela Rose.

Also included is a Wine Tasting featuring 10 local wine venders sampling their finest wines. 

This year’s event promises to be filled with many new and exciting features including an event cookbook which will feature our finest chef’s private recipes, VIP tickets and many more surprises.

This year, Toledo Opera is fifty years old and its Sapphire Ball is forty-eight. The first of its kind in Toledo, the Sapphire Ball has been the model for many of the fundraising events that have taken place in Toledo over the past decades. The ball continues to set the standard as an elegant, entertaining event that provides major support for Toledo Opera. Proceeds from the event provide 10% of the funds needed to produce operas of the highest quality in Toledo.
